How to Advertise Your Property - more details!

Display your property to its best advantage in the On Tasmania Real Estate Guide - serving Tasmanians for over 5 years.

Remember:- If your property is already registered with an agent, please ask the agent to list your property in the On Tasmania Real Estate Guide.

The simplest way to advertise your property is to complete the details in the Advertise Your Property For Sale Online Form.

Completing the Forms
To avoid mistakes please follow the instructions. A field marked with an asterisk * is compulsory. Your advertisement will not be transmitted if the compulsory details are incomplete. The rest of the 'boxes' are optional but we suggest that you complete as many fields as possible as buyers would like to know as much as they can before considering the purchase of a property.

Procedure Details (choose one)

List a New Property Select Click here to list a new property and fill out the form.
Removing or Changing your property Select Click Here to change an existing property and choose Sold or Withdrawn and type in your reference number and password into the appropriate fields.
Re-List your property If your listing has expired and you want to list it again select Click Here to renew an existing listing and fill out the form using the original Property Reference number.

 

Property Reference(required)
This number is generated automatically for new listings. You need to make a note of it for future reference and to use when the property is sold or withdrawn.

Locality (required)
Use the Pull-Down menu Select Locality to select the nearest locality. This is required to ensure that your property is listed in the appropriate region. If none of the localities listed are suitable, please choose one and then send us an email with a suggested change.

Headline (required)
Type in a creative attention-grabbing headline like "Renovator's Delight" or "Cosy Cottage by the Sea".

Display Address (optional)
Some people like to list the address of the property so that prospective buyers can drive by. Others prefer to give out the address only after the prospective buyer has made contact.

Price (required)
This is a numeric field. For example: 185000.

It is required even when you do not want to reveal the price for when people search for a property within a certain price range. You do not need to include the $ sign.

If you do not want to reveal the price, make sure that you include something like "Price On Apllication" in the Price Text field.

Price Text (optional)
This is a text field. For example: $185,000, or "Offers above $200,00". (You need to include the $ sign) It will replace the numeric price.

Property Specification
Fill out as many fields as you can. Your need to specify the number of bedrooms and bathrooms for houses.

The Other field allows you to specify something special such as "In-ground Swimming Pool" or "Sub-Division Potential" in addition to the Headline.

Choose one or more

Property Description (required)
You can either type in a short description directly into the field.

Or attach a file with a more complete description. The file must be either a plain text file (Use Notepad, Wordpad, Word or some other editor, and save it as a text file) or an HTML file (Use Word and save it as an HTML file or webpage)

Attach Photographs
The use of good clear photographs can be very effective in attracting serious buyers. You can also display a floor plan or a map of or to the property.

Remember:- The better the quality photo, the better the Web display. (Low contrast photos are often hard to view on a computer screen.)

If you don't have a digital camera or scanner, please send postcard size (or larger) full colour photos by mail to On Tasmania Real Estate Guide.

Enter your name (you can leave "owner"), telephone number and email address.

 

Payment
Option 1
A - Online: With our secure credit card system, no one sees your credit card details. It is the quick and convenient way to pay. Just follow the instructions on the form. You will receive a Tax Invoice by email.

B - By Post or Telephone: If you choose not to use the online credit card payment option but would like to supply all the property details and photos online, please telephone (03 6224 1911) or fax (03 6224 2699) your credit card details. Alternatively you could write a cheque for $99 to On Tasmania and send it and the property reference number to the address shown below.

Option 2
By Post: Please send your credit card details or a cheque for $99 to On Tasmania together with all the property details and photographs to the address below.
